 A  dangerous wanted man Michael Smith took a swipe at the authorities by going under a post made by the police on Facebook meant to fish him out and dropped a mockery comment. Michael Smith, 37, from Chandler's Ford in Hampshire, is wanted by police on recall to prison, after going missing on Saturday. Police described him as white, 6ft tall, and of an athletic build. He remains missing.  In a bizarre turn of events, Smith then took to the comments on Hampshire Constabulary's Facebook page to say:  'Thanks for the athletic build comments see you wet wipes Tuesday". The comment attracted 62 laugh reacts before it was removed, according to the Hampshire Chronicle.  Other Facebook users also took to the comments to express their amusement at the appeal.  A second Mike Smith even commented on the post, saying: 'Not me (or one of my relatives) - I'm a tad older that 37, not 6'' tall and those who know me would maybe agree I am not quite as big a build!'

 Anambra state governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has pleaded with the Nigerian government to  release Nnamdi Kanu Immediately and unconditionally.   Prof. Soludo made the appeal  at a political gathering in Awka Anambra State on Saturday, January 14. Governor Soludo went further to assert that if the detained IPOB leader cannot be released unconditionally, he should be released to him saying he is ready to stand surety for him. "I am making a passionate appeal to the Federal Government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu unconditionally. If he cannot be released unconditionally, I want him released to me and I will stand surety for him. We need Nnamdi Kanu in the roundtable conversation to discuss the insecurity in the South East. We must end insecurity in the South East and we need Nnamdi Kanu to be around."  At least 40 people have been confirmed dead after a domestic flight crashed in Pokhara in Nepal on Sunday, January 15, 2023.   Hundreds of rescue workers were scouring the hillside where the plane carrying 72 people from the capital Kathmandu, went down. Yeti Airlines, which operated the flight, said there were 72 people onboard – 68 passengers and four crew. According to an airport official, the foreign nationals on board included: one Australian, one French, one Argentinian, four Russians, five Indians, two South Koreans and one person from Ireland. "We expect to recover more bodies,” said an army spokesperson, Krishna Bhandari, said. “The plane has broken into pieces."  The plane crashed between the old and new Pokhara airports in central Nepal.  Footage shared on social media, which appeared to be shot just after the crash, showed raging flames on the ground and black smoke billowing into the sky from debris strewn across the crash site.  Legendary actor Mr Femi Ogunrombi also known as Papa Ajasco has died. The cause of death was not revealed. Mr Femi is the comic actor behind the popular Papa Ajasco, a Television drama by Wale Adenuga production. The drama series was popular during the late 90's  and early 20's.  When you talk of Papa Ajasco you talk of his unique dressing code, shirt, tie, wrapper, eyeglasses and of course his presentation both in speech and character. Mr Femi was also a former music instructor with National Troupe. He was generally an iconic entertainer who has left a good footprint.

 Sadly missing 4 Year Old Athena Brownfield is yet to be found. Caregiver faces murder charge, and the estranged husband of the woman arrested for neglecting the four-year-old will be extradited from Arizona to Okla. A man jailed in Arizona is facing a murder charge in connection with the disappearance of a four-year-old Oklahoma girl that he had been caring for as the search continues for the missing child. Ivon Adams, 36, and his estranged wife Alysia Adams, 31, had been caring for missing Athena Brownfield, 4, and her older sister Adina, 5, when she vanished.  Adams was arrested on Thursday in Arizona on one count charge of child neglect in the case of Athena Brownfield, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said. Police said in a post to Facebook on Friday evening that 36-year-old Adams is now facing one count of First Degree murder but did not give further details about what led to the charge.  Russian missile attack kills five and wounds thirty nine people including seven children when Ukrainian apartment block is destroyed as Putin renews his bloodthirsty campaign against civilians. Harrowing images from the scene show how an entire block was obliterated into a mountain of brick and mortar, with twisted bits of charred metal strewn about nearby streets. 'They (Russians) are just inhuman. At least one stairwell is gone. Under the rubble there are people who were at home for the holiday,' said Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the president's office. Firefighters were deployed to hose down the flames in the aftermath of the attack as rescuers began to pick through the wreckage in the hope of finding survivors.  Moscow also launched a fresh wave of missile attacks on Kyiv this morning as a series of explosions rocked the Ukrainian capital for the first time since New Year's Day. 

John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen welcomes a new baby. John Legend a popular singer announces the new arrival during concert, this is coming two years after life-saving abortion. Legend, 44, shared the news while performing at a private concert on Friday night, telling the crowd that he and his wife just welcomed a new baby.  'What a blessed day,' the singer said, adding that although he 'didn't get a lot of sleep' he felt energized after being by spending 'a lot of time' by Chrissy's side at the hospital.

 The group chief executive officer, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation  NNPC Mele Kyari, has announced the discovery of oil in Nasarawa State.   Kyari said the official spud-in of first oil well in the state will commence in two months. A tweet shared by NNPC reads:   “Group CEO @nnpclimited @MKKyari announced today that the official spud-in of first oil well in Nasarawa State will commence in March 2023. This, according to @MKKyari, is in continuation of hydrocarbon exploration activities in Nigeria’s inland basins. “@MKKyari disclosed this while receiving in audience a delegation of prominent Nasarawa State indegenes, led by the State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule at the #NNPCTowers, Abuja, earlier today.”

 An SUV driver gets a nasty surprise after a customer notices something unusual on the car bonnet during a visit to a McDonald's drive-through.  The young driver had been ordering at the drive-through at a McDonald's in Heatherbrae in the Hunter region, in NSW. Another customer standing outside noticed something odd before deciding to film their discovery. Footage shows a snake stuck in the bonnet of the car and curled across the front of it. The driver appears completely oblivious and continues to drive out of the lane.  He is later stopped by other customers and told about the snake attached to the front of his vehicle. The driver had been travelling across the state and had made a pitstop along the way. The snake is understood to have hitched a ride and clung onto the bonnet for the next four hours before the car pulled into McDonald's

 The Tennessee woman police officer fired for sexual misconduct alongside her four male colleagues is indeed a lucky woman as she gets full support of her husband Jedidiah Hall, despite the scandal.   Officer Maegan Hall of the La Vergne, Tennessee police department, was fired after allegations emerged she engaged in sex with coworkers, sent them nude pictures, took off her top at a hot tub party, and performed oral sex on two fellow officers while on duty.   "I don’t know how he’s doing it, he’s more of a man than I am, but he’s trying to salvage his marriage," Jedidiah Hall’s boss, Coffee County Sheriff Chad Partin, told the outlet.  The sex romp led to the firings of Sgt. Lewis Powell, Officer Juan Lugo, Sgt. Ty McGowan and Detective Seneca Shields, according to the internal investigation last month.   Officers Patrick Magliocco and Larry Holladay, who allegedly also had romps with Maegan Hall, stayed on the force but were suspended. The police in Lagos state have arrested a woman who is the biological mother of two young kids aged 5 and 2, alleged to have been abused by her and her partner. She was arrested alongside her partner.   The suspects identified as Busola Oyediran and her partner, Akebiara Emmanuel, were arrested on Friday, January 13, by the police following reports by neighbours.   Concerned neighbours had alerted the police of the consant physical torture of the minors by their biological mother and her partner. Following the report, the police stormed the Egbeda/Idimu Lagos State, home of the couple and arrested both. The police proceeded to the hospital where the neighbours had taken the battered children for medical care.   When confronted, their mother Busola claimed the children had a motorcycle accident insisting they fell from a motorbike and suffered serious injuries.  Sadly Lisa Marie Presley, could not make it after suffering cardiac arrest, she was 54.  Her bereaved mom Priscilla Presley confirms the news saying 'my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us' Priscilla was on her bedside and confirmed at some point she was receiving the best care. Lisa Marie was rushed to the hospital after she suffered cardiac arrest suspected to have been caused by drug overdose. Presley was found unresponsive in her bedroom by her housekeeper, according to reports, her ex-husband, Danny Keough, who she has been living with, performed CPR until paramedics arrived at the house. Lisa Marie Presley, 54, suffers cardiac arrest at her Calabasas home and is rushed to hospital, she regained pulse after CPR was performed. TMZ reports that 'someone administered epinephrine at the scene at least one time in order to help Lisa Marie regain a pulse' before being taken to hospital. Her condition at this point remains unclear. Lisa Marie, daughter of Elvis Presley and wife Priscilla, was just at the Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday night in Beverly Hills.  The 54-year-old singer and songwriter has 3 children, including actress Riley Keough. She owned and operated the immensely lucrative Elvis Presley Enterprises until 2005, when she sold off all of the business.  Lisa Marie is still the owner of Graceland, Elvis' famed Memphis estate.
